Shirley Ballas and Preparation for Julianne Singing on Dancing with the Stars
Posted in: Dancing with the Stars,Julianne Hough,Julianne Hough's Dog,Music by John on October 17, 2008
I visited with Shirley and her mother at the monday night show. Shirley and Corky Ballas were the coaches that Julianne and Derek lived with and trained in ballromm dance while they were in London.
I took Shirley to see Julianne’s dog, a Cavalier King. In London the Cavalier King was the Royal dog for the King and Queen.
Julianne was up late last night practicing for the results show for this coming Tuesday. She will be singing her new single and dance with Derek and Mark.
I am so excited! Alot of her family will be there to support her.
Julianne is a little anxious and excited, which goes to show that even though she is used to performing a lot, she still gets anxious and wants everything to go well. So don’t give up when things get hard or a little scary. If you are prepared you will not fear and it helps you get stronger for the next time.
I loved watching “The Never Ending Story” with my kids when they were young. In the movie it says “Be Confident!” Having a glimmer of light and hope is what keeps life exciting and worth living. A life of challenges, and lots of experiences.
Til the next time.

Marriann,
I just wanted to say that you should be so proud of that fabulous jitterbug that Julianne choregraphed last night. (Derek’s was pretty fantastic too.) Cody & Julianne’s dance was just awesome and the the energy was incredible. The costumes and facial expressions were out of this world. I hope that she gets to do the encore.
I actually got to see your daugther last summer on the DWTS tour in Bridgeport. By far, she and Apolo were the highlights of that evening.
You are a wonderful mother and have done a fine job raising such great kids. They are very Blessed to have such a supportive and dedicated mom.
God Bless You!

Hi all,
Julianne’s latest blog post just went up at Fancast and she talks about the jitterbug, finding a new home for that puppy she was caring for – and a funny prank she played on her boyfriend at the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
As always she is looking for comments/questions from you guys so have fun!

Hello, So Sorry to hear that Julianne has Endometriosis. I, too, have had to “deal” with it since I was a teenager. Read this information regarding Iodine supplementation I just recently found on the web. There seems to be a connection between excess estrogen levels and low iodine levels in women who also develop Endometriosis disease.

Lexi is beautiful. I also have 4 CKCS and sadly they all suffer from a genetic disease called syringomyelia which is affecting most of this breed. I hope people are aware of the condition in the breed and are very careful in selecting their puppies.
Good Luck.
Best Wishes…Sandy

Sandy,
Thanks for the information. I’ve forwarded the information on to Marriann so she can let Julianne know and see if that may be causing the puppy any problems.
