Aneta Piotrowski is a Polish dancer a year younger than Derek who was his partner for two years and won the Junior Latin Championship with. Derek has said once their personal relationship floundered, their professional relationship went rapidly downhill, so they both got other partners, Aneta’s was a pro who was allowed to compete as an amateur, and Derek’s was a true amateur. Derek and his partner beat them! Aneta went on to win the Polish version of DWTS a few seasons ago. You can find at least one of Derek and Aneta’s dances on YouTube, and many other photographs of them at various dance competitions.

To the poster who wanted to know if Julianne ever dated Mark Ballas, they were dance partners – and girlfriend and boyfriend for a very short time – when Julianne and Derek lived with Mark and his parents in London. They were both very young at the time.

listen, i have a few questions about Julianne. Did she ever date Mark Ballas? I am wondering if what he said to People is true. If it is, when did they date and why did they break up? I know this is a little personal, but I am their biggest fan and this has been bugging me for months. I know sometimes you answer questions on the comments so this is why I am leaving this.
